Mount Spokane

Mount Spokane is located just northeast of downtown and provides skiers with 1,425 acres of terrain across 2,000 vertical feet. With 36 runs ranging from beginner to expert level, Mount Spokane offers something for everyone. The area also has a terrain park with a half pipe and several jumps, rails, boxes, and jibs. Plus, it's easily accessible thanks to its proximity to downtown Spokane.

 

Silver Mountain Resort

Silver Mountain Resort is located near Coeur d'Alene in Kellogg, Idaho—just about an hour's drive from downtown Spokane. Boasting an impressive 2,200-foot vertical drop and over 80 runs spread out over three mountain faces (Wardner Peak ; Silver King ; Goats Peak), Silver Mountain is one of the premier ski resorts in the region. With plenty of groomed runs as well as powder bowls and tree runs for more experienced skiers, this resort definitely deserves a visit or two throughout the ski season.

 

49 Degrees North

49 Degrees North is a smaller ski resort located north of town near Chewelah in Washington state. Despite its relatively small size (1,115 acres), 49 Degrees North still manages to offer 50 runs ranging from beginner to expert level. It also boasts four terrain parks—one each on Red Tail Mountain; Outback Mountain; Ant Hill; and Tango Ridge—for those who like to hit up some jumps and rails while they're out skiing or snowboarding.

 

Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Located just outside Sandpoint in Idaho—about two hours northeast of downtown Spokane—Schweitzer Mountain has some truly impressive stats that make it worth checking out if you can manage it during your trip to town. With 2,900 acres spread across six mountainsides connected by 13 lifts and 92 runs that range from beginner all the way up to double black diamond level (the highest level of difficulty), Schweitzer truly has something for everyone who loves skiing or snowboarding!

 

Spokane has no shortage when it comes to great skiing and snowboarding spots nearby! From Mount Spokane all the way up north near Sandpoint at Schweitzer Mountain Resort there are plenty of locations where you can get your fix on some fresh powder or even hit up some terrain parks if that’s your thing!
