Rocks of Sharon Trail (Moderate)

This 10.6 km trail is located in the Dishman Hills Natural Area and provides a great workout with an elevation gain of 1,670 feet. The trail is well-maintained and offers beautiful views of the surrounding area.

 

Indian Painted Rock and Knothead Valley Loop (Moderate)

Located in Riverside State Park, the Indian Painted Rock and Knothead Valley Loop is a 10.9 km trail that offers a moderate level of difficulty. The trail is surrounded by lush greenery and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The trail features several switchbacks and steep inclines, which make it a challenging hike for inexperienced hikers. However, the rewards of this trail are definitely worth it, with stunning views of the Spokane River and Indian Painted Rocks.

Trail 25 and Centennial Trail (Easy)

The Trail 25 and Centennial Trail is an easy 6 km trail located in Riverside State Park. The trail follows the Spokane River and offers plenty of opportunities to observe wildlife and enjoy scenic views. This trail is perfect for families with kids or for those who are new to hiking.

 

Trail 121: Waterfall Loop (Easy)

Located in Palisades Park, the Trail 121: Waterfall Loop is a short 1.8 km trail that offers an easy level of difficulty. However, be prepared to cross the stream multiple times, as wet and muddy areas are common along the trail. There is limited parking available at the trailhead.

Glenrose Cliff Trails (Moderate)

Located in Dishman Hills Natural Area, the Glenrose Cliff Trails is an 8.4 km trail that offers a moderate level of difficulty. The trail features several steep inclines and descents, which make it a challenging hike for inexperienced hikers. However, the rewards of this trail are worth it, with stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and several points of interest along the way.
