Hope you’re having a great start to the week! As we officially step into the first week of the March spring market, the biggest shift we're watching is with interest rates. We unfortunately lost the recent dip down to 5.9%, with rates bumping back up about 0.15% this week. This is a direct reaction to the recent uncertainty in the Middle East, which impacts the 10-year Treasury yield and investor confidence. Because of this sudden shift, buyers are feeling a bit cautious and taking extra time to run their numbers, which explains why they are being so selective right now. We'll be watching closely over the next few days to see how things shake out.
Despite that hesitation, buyers are absolutely out there, and local activity is waking up. We're even starting to see offers come in on properties that have been sitting on the market for five or six months. We're excited to see how this spring momentum builds, especially knowing a large wave of new competition is about to hit the market. Our team alone is prepping nearly a dozen listings to go live in the next 60 days. With all that fresh inventory just around the corner, we are in a prime window right now to capture the serious buyers who are already out shopping.
